Both the JV and Varsity won their game in exciting fashion last night at the annual "Turkey Cup" held at Buccaneer Arena.

The JV jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period with goals from Brendan Lane, Ethan Rose and Seth Mitchell. The score was 3-2 in favor of the Capitals until the Oakleafs tied the score with 7.9 seconds left in the game due to a 6 on 4 man advantage. The JV then went to a shootout where Capitals goalie Nick Martin stopped 4 of 5 shots and won 2 goals to 1. (Jack Martin, Christian Betts).

The Varsity ended regulation with a toughly contested 1 to 1 tie. They then went on to a 4 on 4, five-minute overtime. With 2:27 left in the extra period, defenseman Ethan Bettis found forward Noah Gyldenvand open to the right of the goalie for the game winner.

It truly was a "Great Day to be a Capital"!
